Starting things off with a FAVE!  Genie and Kyle were married at the First Baptist Church of Montgomery and celebrated with a reception at the Alabama Activities Center.

Genie had a first look with her Daddy. LOVE!  If we could have bottled up the happiness in the room we’d be zillionaires.

Genie, remember how we were couldn’t stop saying how gorgeous you are? Well, we weren’t lying. GORGEOUS! GAH!!

Y’all are totally married!! YAY!

Kyle made our list of favorite grooms by having ice cream as his groom’s cake. Bruster’s ice cream moved him to the top of that list!

Genie and Kyle, your wedding was a dream! We are SO happy we got to be part of it.

See that word confidently? That’s the key in this quote. You can’t just go ‘willy-nilly’ in the direction of your dreams and expect success. You’ve got to be confident in setting goals and making a road map to achieve them. In 48 Days to the Work You Love, Dan gives you a step-by-step plan to gain the confidence you need to advance in the direction of your dreams. The confidence comes, in large part, by maintaining balance in the 7 Areas of Achievement.

1.Financial: How much money do you want to make this year? In 5 years? If you can’t dream it, it won’t happen.

2.Physical: Health, appearance and exercise.

3.Personal: Education and self improvement.

4.Family: Personal relationships, development of children and household organization.

5.Spiritual: Church involvement, personal commitment and Scripture study.

6.Social: Friendships and community involvement.

7.Career: Your ambitions, dreams, and hopes. Your career should be a reflection of the life you want. What do you want in the other 6 areas? Does your career support that?

Miller, demonstrates how these 7 Areas of Achievement are integrally connected. He writes, “They can rise up together or spiral down together. You cannot justify success in one area at the expense of success in another.”

So, ready to set some goals? Awesome! Write them down and look at them often. Or, up the ante and tell someone else about them. Think about all the steps required to achieve them and break them up into small tasks. Then, give yourself a deadline and…. GO!

Here it is y’all. Our last post of 2012. Although it’s cliche to say we’ve saved the best for last, it’s true. From Jasper to Mobile, we traveled all over the state and we’re so happy to have been part of all these wonderful weddings and are excited to see where 2013 will take us.

You may remember Carly and Jonathan from their engagement session a few months back.  What you may not know is that these two are on our list of favorite people for so many reasons!  I (Alisa) have known Carly and her family for the past six years.  Her dad is actually the pastor of our church. In the past years, we have watched Carly go from an amazing young girl to an amazing young woman.  When she first told us about Jonathan and that she might be a little smitten,  we knew he had to be a pretty awesome guy.  We were right!  He is not only awesome but fun, artistic and can totally make a fedora look like it was made for him!  Together, they make for a whole lot great moments, beautiful photos and a few inside jokes  We loved every minute spent with them!  So, to Carly and Jonathan and your families.. a huge congratulations and much love from us!  We loved celebrating and capturing the moments from your wedding!

Carly had a first look with her Dad and two brothers. See, not only is Carly the only girl in the family but she’s also the baby in this close-knit family. This was one of the sweetest moments of the day!

Then it was time for Carly to see her Groom.
